IDO MA-1 JACKET

 the IDO MA-1 fit block is based directly from the boxy cropped body of the original 1950s MA-1.

Surprisingly, worthy fabrics proved difficult to source despite the numerous iterations of the iconic silhouette produced today. Ironically, the most authentic fabrics were found through various Japanese manufacturers rather than in the USA - including 1950s reproduction sage flight nylon, 1950s reproduction sage 100% wool ribbing, and 1950s sage nylon oxygen tab (complete with period-correct red edging).

The IDO MA-1 was updated with wool panels in high articulation areas, 5 oz/sq yd Climashield APEX synthetic insulation (which retains warmth even while wet), Raccagni zips, and a hidden stash pocket behind the oxygen tab.
